As a member of our team, you’ll provide essential care and assistance to students who need extra support, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and engaged throughout the school day.

What Does the Role Involve?
1-to-1 Student Support – Assisting individual students based on their unique needs.
Helping with Personal Care – Supporting students with tasks such as dressing, feeding, or mobility.
Encouraging Social Interaction – Supporting students in developing communication and social skills.
Ensuring a Safe and Supportive Environment – Being a friendly, reassuring presence throughout the school day.
No teaching qualifications are required– just 3 months experience (working or volunteering) in a SEN/SEND school. Of course, you’ll also need patience, empathy, and a real passion for supporting students with special educational needs.

Who Can Apply?
While no formal qualifications are required, applicants must have at least three months of experience working or volunteering in SEN/SEND schools. This experience helps ensure you are familiar with the unique challenges and rewarding nature of working in an SEN environment.
In addition to this, if you have worked as a care assistant, teaching assistant, support worker, or in a role involving personal care, your skills will be highly beneficial. Experience in healthcare, social care, or any role that involves supporting individuals with additional needs can also provide a strong foundation for success in this role.
